Zebulon UMC Preschool
Director: Holly Bailey

The Zebulon UMC Preschool provides classes for children ages 16 months through 5 years old.  Two-day, three-day and five-day programs are available.  Classes begin the day after Labor Day in September and end the last of May.  Normal hours for the preschool are 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  The school operates on the same holiday and inclement weather schedule as the Wake County schools.

The preschool has been operating since 1998 and follows the High Reach Learning curriculum.  Teacher-to-child ratio is between 1:5 and 1:7.  The preschool is a member of the Zebulon Chamber of Commerce.  We have a well equipped playground for outside play when weather permits.  We also provide opportunities for the children to meet community safety and fire fighting men and women.

Faculty:  Although our teachers are not required to be licensed, they do take classes each year through Project Enlightenment.  They are all certified through Safe Sanctuary, so background checks are completed for each teacher.

Security:  Outside doors remain locked during school hours.  Children remain in their classrooms until picked up at the end of the school day.

Early Bird Drop-off:  For those parents who need an early drop-off, the school offers this convience beginning at 8:15 am.  Two teachers are there to receive the children until classes begin at 9:00 am.  Monthly fees for early bird drop-off are due by the 10th of each month:  2-day (T/Th) fee is $25 3-day (MWF) fee is $35; 5-day fee is $45 (for 2016-2017 school year).

Lunch Bunch Program:  The school provides an extended program for 3- and 4-year olds until 1:30 pm for a small extra charge.  Once or twice each month, a child can bring lunch and play under the watchful guidance of teachers.  Fee for each session is $5 (for 2015-2016 school year).

Registration:  Registrations for each school year are accepted beginning March 1st for school beginning in September.  Registration requires a once-a-year, non-refundable fee due with each registration:  2-day school fee is $130, 3-day fee is $170, 5-day fee is $230 (for 2016-2017 school year).  This fee covers cost of insurance and supplies.

Monthly Tuition:  Tuition is due on the first day of class each month:  2-day school fee is $130 per month; 3-day school fee is $170 per month; 5-day school fee is $230 per month (for 2015-2016 school year).  Tuition can be paid quarterly, due on the first school day of September, December and March.
